This Thursday Ronnie will be racing with the NEPA region @ Pocono Raceway. Sunday with the Philly region @ Warminster, PA.

The Wells Fargo event was cancelled. The lot was resealed last week, and the traction would've sucked.

Pocono July 12th. I hope the weather is good.

The gears are on, the carb is re jetted, and valves adjusted. All we need to do is get there, and set the tire pressures.

Philly Region event #5 @ Wells Fargo

Sunday July 1st will be the Philly region event #5 @ Wells Fargo Center.

We had a great time at the NEPA Pocono regional event. Ronnie getting the win both days in FJA class. I was helping Rob with Robbie's kart with the over steer issues. It turned out that the new rear rims had a bigger offset then his old set.

Ronnie hit a cone on his 4th run on Sunday with the left front that came out the right rear. It took out the clutch breaking a snap ring. After the clutch & gear change he went his fastest time of the day 68.927. That beat his 68.955 from earlier.

Philly Region SCCA Solo event #4 at Warminster Sunday June 3rd

Philly Region SCCA Solo event #3 Wells Fargo Center.
Ronnie got the win in FJA class with a 42.260 over Matt who did some super driving getting a 42.550. Robbie was just behind Matt by .015 of a second.

The jetting was perfect, but I fell short on picking the right gears. We left a lot of time out there. He got 9th fastest time of the day out of 109 drivers.

We're still fighting the oversteer issue, but we're getting it dialed in.

Sunday's Junior Karters

Ronnie had a great day @ Mohegan Sun. It was wet in the morning, and he had the fastest time in that session. In the afternoon session he was bumped back to 7th place, but he was running last on the track. He needed to pick up more then 2.814 seconds to beat the 55.900 time. It was dry at that point so we put the slicks on. He laid down 3 fantastic runs 55.537, 55.208, then his last run 54.916 for the 3 fastest times of the day.

We went to the Rust Off to break-in the new slicks. It was way to wet for slicks, it was a rain event. The temp was about 40°. There was no sense changing the jet in the carb & putting the rain tires on. We may go to NJMP this week before the first Philly SCCA points event.

Ronnie got the class win at the last Philly SCCA event of 2017 with a 39.183. This is his 4th championship with the Philly region SCCA. With getting the 2017 NEPA SCCA Solo championship that makes it 5 regional championships.

It was a long season. We drove over 4,400 miles to the 19 events he raced. He finished his 2017 season with 12 in first, 6 in second, and forth place at Nationals in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Having 7 wins & 1 second place finish, Ronnie locked up his 1st Championship with the 

NEPA Region SCCA.

This is his 4th SCCA Solo Regional championship, 3 with Philly & 1 with NEPA.

Ronnie took the win Saturday & Sunday at Pocono Raceway. With the need to run the higher speeds at Pocono Raceway. I put the smallest gear we have on the rear (64 tooth). By doing so I had to move the motor over 4 inches forward. That took weight off the right rear tire making his kart loose as a goose. He took out some cones on a few runs, but got a handle on it & laid down some good times.

We made it to the BIG SHOW. The 2017 SCCA Solo Nationals in Lincoln, Nebraska. There was 1,319 drivers at the event. 10 in Ronnie's class Formula Junior A.
